My name is Erin Coombs.  I began teaching in 2015.  Since I began teaching I dreamt of creating products to sell on teachers pay teachers and share my teaching journey with others through blogs.  It wasn't until 2020 when we were quarantined by COVID 19 that I began the journey.  As I was looking for books or blogs to read and podcasts to listen to, I came across Kayse Morris.  Her program Make Your Mark changed my life.  It made me realize that all the dreams I had for myself could come true if I put in hard work.  She has helped me to realize that I can create habits to allow myself to achieve any goals I want for myself.  I have so many dreams and I now know the sky is the limit and I plan to work hard and make my dreams my reality.  Through my whole life I have been a cheerleader.  I cheered fifth grade through college and now I am a high school cheerleading coach.  As I have begun my journey of Make Your Mark, I have realized I have been the biggest cheerleader for all of the people around me and it was time to become my own biggest cheerleader.

   I have taught kindergarten and first grade.  I love teaching the minds of young children.  Now a days, when I am not teaching I am creating resources for my classroom and to share with others on Teacher Pay Teachers.  My Niche is Centers.  I plan to create centers for literacy, writing and math geared towards kindergarten, first and second grade.  I truly believe kids need to feel loved in the classroom before they can learn.  Once they feel loved, they will fall in love with learning.  My goal is to create product centered around the children so that they can feel loved and cared for and in return love to learn.  

 

My biggest passions other than teaching are spending time with my family and going to the beach.  I have a huge heart and care deeply about everyone around me.  I love to dream big and work towards my goals.  I am a life-long learner and I am not afraid to try something new.  I like to think of myself as kind, sweet, caring, energetic and a hard worker.

My second year of teaching, I got named the Superstar Teacher from the paster at the church.  The name stuck and here I am today building my business from that name.   I truly hope to inspire other teachers and provide them with resources that help bring the heart into teaching.   

 

I have found the quote "Have Courage and Be Kind" by Cinderella to play a huge role in my life.  In the most important years and days of my life I have lived by that quote and I hope to continue to use it to build my best self.
